your police station should know. I would have to think it is similar to michigan and all other states. What i had to do was take a CCW class with a certified instructor. It is a 8 hour class that is split between classroom and time at the shooting range. And then you have to pass a test. Then you will receive a certificate that proves you took the class and passed then you go up to the police department and fill out the paper work and pay the fee. Its $110 and its good for 5 years. If this is your first time getting a CCW in some places you will have to go in front of a committee and answer a few questions. Why do you want this, have you ever been convicted of any felonies or misdemeanors and have you even been commit ed to a mental hospital and are you now or ever where a threat to yourself or others. They will already have a whole back round check on you, so you better just be honest.
